Connie Palmer and Classic Sewing magazine are excited to invite you to a special virtual sewing event: Connie’s Heirloom Quilt Class. Thank you to Connie for creating this class in her home's sewing room! During this start-anytime class, you will create an exquisite quilt that showcases many beautiful heirloom techniques, including pintucks, lace shaping, puffing, madeira applique and more. Connie originally designed this quilt for her granddaughter, Michelle. The quilt was featured on the TV show, Quilting with Shar, hosted by Sharlene Jorgenson, and featured in Sharlene's book: America's Best, a compilation of 13 quilt projects. This easy-to-make quilt was designed with both beginner and advanced heirloom sewists and quilters in mind.
This class includes:
- A copy of the book America’s Best by Sharlene Jorgenson (includes instructions for this quilt + 12 additional quilts)
- 10 technique how-to videos (so you can practice the techniques before you get started!)
- Videos for each block and section of the quilt, plus an introduction video from Connie
- 6 machine embroidery designs in all major embroidery file formats
- Templates for all blocks and embroideries
- Cutting guide
- Tip sheets from Connie to use alongside the main instructions
- A beautifully-designed cover sheet for a notebook
- Access to private group where you can sew along with Connie
This start-anytime class is self-paced. You can begin the moment you register, viewing it anytime that is convenient for you.
