With the assistance of Martha’s instruction, you will learn the art of lace scallops and see why they are used frequently on elegant heirloom pieces. The steps include learning how to shape curves and miter corners, stitch using the proper stabilizer, trim, shape and add entredeux.
For the projects, Martha uses Tiger Tape, the Easy Scallop tool, and also shows off her Magic Scalloped Skirt technique. During the course, you'll create the lacy scallops for the Lacy Scalloped T-Bonnet, the Lacy Panel Diaper Cover and the Heavenly Bliss Bib (these three downloadable patterns are included with the course). Martha also shows you how to create the scallops on an elegant daygown - a technique you can use on any skirt hem.
