Every baby should have a classic little daygown in their wardrobe. For this online class, Connie Palmer has designed not one but TWO precious daygowns plus a coordinating A-line slip! These daygowns feature many beautiful and timeless heirloom sewing techniques. As Connie walks you step-by-step through each technique, you will enjoy her warm teaching style that has made countless sewists fall in love with her projects and classes.

In addition to the video instruction, your course enrollment includes downloadable patterns and instructions for the daygowns and slip (sizes NB–18M), along with two multi-formatted machine embroidery designs.

The Laken Daygown features shadow appliqué at the neckline as well as lace shaping that starts and finishes at the shoulders. The lace shaping beautifully cascades down the gown, with pintucks featured inside the two outer diamonds and a pretty floral machine embroidery design featured inside the center oval loop. Gimpwork frames the edge of the lace shaping, while lace edging finishes off the sleeves and skirt hem. A placket is included on the back for ease of dressing. The Luke Daygown is similar to Laken, which just a few adaptations to give it a more boyish look. Instead of lace shaping, Luke features bias shaping, and the embroidery in the center oval loop embroidery is a sailboat rather than the floral design. The sleeves also vary slightly. Connie also shows students a bonus variation for the bias shaping that incorporates spaghetti bias.

The coordinating A-Line Slip for either version is a simple design featuring shell stitch around the neckline and sleeves. The skirt hem also features shell stitch, or you can choose the optional lace edging finish. The back of the slip includes a placket.

Whether you want to make just one or both of these sweet daygowns, you are going to love this class and all the techniques!
