Beverley Sheldrick
The late Beverley Sheldrick’s love of heirloom sewing led her down many creative paths, and being part of an experimental embroidery group in New Zealand encouraged her to use her skills in a variety of different ways. Her inspiration came not only from her garden, but also from visiting museums and antique shops full of beautiful old clothes, linens and china. This interest she shared with her husband, a dealer of antiques, and the two happily toured museums throughout America and England. Beverley was a popular teacher at The School of Art Fashion in both Huntsville and down under, was a regular guest on Martha’s Sewing Room PBS television show, and wrote several books published by Martha Pullen Company.
