Vintage, Classic and Contemporary is a Martha Pullen Teacher Licensing curriculum filled with a wonderful assortment of projects: 31 in all, in a wide variety of styles and designs. Together, they form a collection of sweet, cute, cuddly, charming, neat, sassy, timeless, traditional, beautiful and/or elegant items for you to enjoy making, giving, selling or teaching. All 31 projects are beautifully illustrated, with detailed instructions. These projects allow you to learn a dizzying array of techniques – the ones needed to become a Martha Pullen Licensed Teacher, of course, but also the ones you’ll use over and over again in your sewing life.
This licensing brings together sewing projects that showcase the vintage style we so enjoy, builds upon classic and timeless themes we rely on and captivates us with fresh, contemporary looks. What could be better?!
Join us, and acquire skills in working with lace and entredeux, spaghetti bias, folded bias, several versatile quilting techniques (echo, channel and stippling), incorporate tucks of all kinds, ribbons, decorative stitches, bobbin work, Madeira applique, piping, trapunto, fringe, buttons of all shapes and sizes, crazy patch, traditional applique and much, much more! Plus, serging techniques. Really, it’s more skill-building and fun than you can imagine.
This course will run through November 20, 2020. NOTE: New registrants will be accepted until two months before the course end date. During that time, there will be eight required assignments (four technique samples and four projects) that you will need to make and submit photos of through the site. Those assignments will be graded by our instructors and, upon completion, you’ll receive your teacher's license. Once you have your license, you’ll co-own the copyright for all the written instructions/patterns for the projects included in this licensing. That means you’ll be able to copy the exclusive licensed materials to share with your students if you choose to teach, make the projects for sale without limit or just sew them for your own enjoyment. No matter what your reason is for joining us, this course is sure to take your sewing skills to new heights. After the course is over, you will still have access to all the videos and resources on the site – that access will not expire!
